I\u2019m so sad for them,\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019m devastated, gutted, shocked, stunned, and so deeply saddened, as are all of the people who loved them and who they loved.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Maria Shriver paid tribute to Rob and Michele Reiner after they were found murdered in their Los Angeles home this weekend.  <span class=\"credit\">FilmMagic<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cThey loved their kids so much, and they never stopped trying to be really good parents,\u201d Shriver wrote on Instagram Monday.  <span class=\"credit\">MediaPunch \/ BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Shriver, 70, recalled how she and the Reiners raised their children together. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI loved Michele and Rob Reiner. They were among my closest friends. We raised our kids together, from mommy and me on up,\u201d she shared. \u201cWe laughed together, we cried together, we played together, we dreamed together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shriver said that she just went to dinner with Rob and Michele a week before their untimely death. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey were in the best place in their lives: loving one another, loving their friends, their family, their country,\u201d she divulged. \u201cThey never gave up on our country. They wanted to make it better. I\u2019ll miss you, Rob. I love you both,\u201d she concluded. \u201cThank you for your friendship. God bless you both. Life will not be the same without you here, that\u2019s for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shriver reflected on Rob and Michele\u2019s nurturing personalities shortly after Page Six broke the news that the late couple\u2019s son, Nick, was arrested for their murder. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Their son Nick was arrested for murder after they were found stabbed to death on Dec. 14.  <span class=\"credit\">michelereiner\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Rob and Michele tied the knot in 1989.  <span class=\"credit\">REUTERS<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nick, 32, was arrested on charges of murder after Rob and Michele were stabbed to death in their LA home Sunday, a rep for the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Office confirmed. <\/p>\n<p>Rob was 78 and Michele was 68.<\/p>\n<p>Nick, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/15\/celebrity-news\/inside-rob-reiners-son-nicks-drug-addiction-battle-years-before-parents-fatal-stabbing\/\">who has battled with drug addiction issues<\/a>, is being held at Parker Center Jail in Downtown Los Angeles, and his bail is set at $4 million.<\/p>\n<p>The film director and Michele, who tied the knot in 1989, shared two other children: Jake, 34, and Romy, 28.
