\u201cThe Voice\u201d season 28 finale is underway, and all six finalists have had the chance to perform for their coaches and for America to see who will win the singing competition. <\/p>\n
Adams County native Aubrey Nicole on Monday night performed her final two songs, \u201c\u2018Til You Can\u2019t\u201d by Cody Johnson, and \u201cThe Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia\u201d by Reba McEntire. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe Voice\u201d coach and rapper Snoop Dogg shared his thoughts first about Nicole\u2019s performance. <\/p>\n
\u201cAubrey, you deserve to be here,\u201d Snoop Dog said. \u201cYou are phenomenal. This was one of the greatest performances I\u2019ve seen you do. You just get better every time you hit that stage. Go on, girl.\u201d <\/p>\n
Nicole\u2019s coach, Reba McEntire, also shared her thoughts about Nicole\u2019s performance, noting how happy she was with the 20-year-old singer. <\/p>\n
\u201cAubrey, I\u2019m so proud of you,\u201d McEntire said. \u201cYou\u2019re beautiful inside and out. I couldn\u2019t be more proud.\u201d <\/p>\n
Later on in the night, Nicole returned to the stage for a heartfelt performance of \u201cThe Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia.\u201d<\/p>\n
McEntire again congratulated Nicole on another powerful performance. <\/p>\n
\u201cWell, I\u2019ve loved that song forever,\u201d McEntire said. \u201cVicki Lawrence had a number one record on it. I loved it, so I recorded it, and look what you\u2019re doing with it. Congratulations, girl, you knocked it out of the park.\u201d <\/p>\n
On Dec. 1, the first episode of the \u201cPlayoffs\u201d premiered, featuring singers from Reba McEntire\u2019s and Michael Bubl\u00e9\u2019s teams competing for a spot in the Season 28 finale. <\/p>\n
Nicole wowed her coach with a cover of \u201cBlack Velvet\u201d by Alannah Myles, securing her a place in the finale. <\/p>\n
After making her decision, McEntire shared more about why she chose Nicole. <\/p>\n
\u201cI chose Aubrey because she has a way of portraying a lot of emotion,\u201d McEntire said. \u201cThat\u2019s what music is supposed to be about. I definitely think Aubrey has a shot to win the whole competition.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nicole displayed that emotion during her finale performance, and told PennLive recently<\/a> that she hopes to prove herself as an artist no matter what happens with the show. <\/p>\n \u201cMy family is so excited,\u201d Nicole said. \u201cI could not be more grateful; they\u2019ve always been supportive of what I do. This whole experience has not only been incredible for me, but also for them.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThank you to everybody who has supported me this far,\u201d Nicole added. \u201cI want to make everyone proud in the finale, no matter what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
