Queen of Queens RuPaul is about to press GO on a brand-new Drag Race UK, and we can Ru-veal that the hit competitive reality show is returning with an even higher than usual celebrity count \u2013 and they\u2019re going to be dragging up!<\/p>\n
RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race UK is steeped in pop culture and packed with cunning challenges designed to test the mettle and artistry of twelve hopeful drag queens who are all jockeying for the RuPaul\u2019s final seal of approval. And as it\u2019s many of legions of fans know, the race is never predictable. This season, one of Drag Race\u2019s most notoriously difficult challenges, the makeover challenge, in which the queens are tasked with giving surprise guests a drag makeover, comes with an extra celebrity twist.<\/p>\n
Mama Ru has recruited a stunning selection of iconic UK faces to be the willing subjects of a drag makeover and unleash their inner divas in a gagworthy episode of the new series due to start on Thursday 25 September on BBC iPlayer and BBC Three.<\/p>\n
The illustrious line up for the \u201cHun Makeover Challenge\u201d is as follows:<\/p>\n
She has the voice of an angel, Welsh singer-songwriter, Charlotte Church<\/p>\n
The millennial\u2019s favourite icon, Tracy Beaker, also known as actor, Dani Harmer<\/p>\n
Reality TV star, Celebrity Big Brother winner, and perennial shorts wearer, David Potts<\/p>\n
EastEnders legend, Diane Parish, famed for her portrayal of Walford stalwart, Denise Fox.<\/p>\n
The iconic winner of Pop Idol, Scottish singer and broadcaster, Michelle McManus<\/p>\n
And Shobna Gulati loved as the dippy Anita, of Victoria Wood\u2019s Dinner Ladies, and famed for playing Sunita, a cherished member of Coronation Street\u2019s Hall of Huns.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Charlotte Church said: \u201cWorking with the amazingly talented queens was an absolute joy and privilege. My transformation to my inner goddess was a wonderful exploration for me. I have loved the show for a longtime and every second of my experience was delectable and juicy!\u201d<\/p>\n
Dani Harmer said: \u201cIt was the best day of my life!! It beats the birth of my children!\u201d<\/p>\n

The hun makeover challenge is set to be one of the campest and most heartwarming in Drag Race UK Herstory, but the question remains, who will serve up family resemblance realness and win the coveted RuPeter badge, and who will Ru ask to sashay away?<\/p>\n
The new series of RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race UK kicks off on Thursday 25 September, at 8pm on BBC iPlayer and 9pm on BBC Three.<\/p>\n
