{"id":2201703,"date":"2025-12-16T19:04:36","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T19:04:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2201703"},"modified":"2025-12-16T19:04:36","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T19:04:36","slug":"a-major-royal-event-before-christmas-will-be-held-at-different-palace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/a-major-royal-event-before-christmas-will-be-held-at-different-palace\/","title":{"rendered":"A major royal event before Christmas will be held at different palace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The King and Queen will carry out one of their final engagements<br \/>\nbefore Christmas at an unexpected palace.<\/p>\n<p>With just a week until Christmas Day, King Charles and Queen<br \/>\nCamilla will be inside the walls of St. James\u2019 Palace for an event<br \/>\nclose to both their hearts.<\/p>\n<p>They will host a reception to mark the return from sea of<br \/>\n<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.royalnavy.mod.uk\/organisation\/units-and-squadrons\/aircraft-carriers\/hms-prince-of-wales\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HMS Prince of Wales<\/a>, a ship to<br \/>\nwhich both have close links.<\/p>\n<p>King Charles was on board the aircraft carrier earlier this year<br \/>\nas it prepared to head off on Operation HIGHMAST which has kept it<br \/>\nat sea for eight months.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2019, The King has been the Honorary Commodore in Chief,<br \/>\nAircraft Carriers and has taken a particular interest in the<br \/>\nnation\u2019s flagship.<\/p>\n<p>He spent a long time with crew ahead of their departure on<br \/>\nwhat\u2019s been described as the country\u2019s premier naval deployment of<br \/>\n2025.<\/p>\n<p>Queen Camilla is Lady Sponsor of the ship since 2017 when, with<br \/>\nher husband, she attended the naming ceremony for HMS The Prince of<br \/>\nWales.<\/p>\n<p>Although it\u2019s not his title now, King Charles was the Prince of<br \/>\nWales after whom this ship was named.<\/p>\n<p>The Queen has paid several more visits to the ship since the<br \/>\nnaming ceremony at Rosyth dockyards. In 2019, she was in Portsmouth<br \/>\nfor the ship\u2019s official Commissioning Ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Queen Camilla toured the ship again just months before<br \/>\nthe accession of her husband as King.<\/p>\n<p>The reception will take place in St. James Palace in central<br \/>\nLondon which isn\u2019t used for big public receptions such as this that<br \/>\noften.<\/p>\n<p>However, it is actually the most senior royal palace in England<br \/>\nand is home to the Monarch\u2019s royal court which is called St. James\u2019<br \/>\nCourt.<\/p>\n<p>Just days ago, the disgraced younger brother of King Charles,<br \/>\nAndrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was at St. James for the christening of<br \/>\nhis youngest grandchild.
