Netflix has canceled the military comedy drama \u201cBoots\u201d after one season, and fans aren\u2019t happy about it.<\/p>\n

It starred Miles Heizer as Cameron Cope, a closeted gay teenager who enlists in the U.S. Marine Corps with his best friend Ray McAffey (Liam Oh). The series is set in the 1990s, when queer people were excluded from military service. <\/p>\n Shortly after the release of \u201cBoots,\u201d the Pentagon released a statement slamming Netflix for making \u201cwoke garbage.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cUnder President Trump and Secretary [of Defense Pete] Hegseth, the US military is getting back to restoring the warrior ethos. The show got great viewership. Netflix wants the [Warner Bros.] merger<\/a> to go through.
