Fuzzy has cancelled its planned New Year\u2019s Eve festival at Bondi Beach in the wake of the fatal shooting that occurred<\/a> in the area this past weekend.<\/p>\n In a statement shared by the promoter, Fuzzy said the decision was made in consultation with Waverley Council, with a focus on compassion for those affected and allowing NSW Police to continue their investigations.<\/p>\n \u201cOur hearts are with everyone affected by the tragedy at Bondi Beach,\u201d the statement reads. \u201cWhat happened has deeply shaken our community and all who call this place home.\u201d<\/p>\n The promoter confirmed that the planned New Year\u2019s Eve events at Bondi Beach \u2014 including elrow Bondi Beach XXL and the Locals Lawn Family Zone \u2014 will not go ahead.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have been working closely with Waverley Council over the past couple of days, focusing on compassion and care for Sydney\u2019s Jewish community and all those impacted, allowing NSW Police to further progress their investigations,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n All ticketholders have been contacted directly via email.
