Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> has revealed that she has recently found inspiration from the likes of The Cure<\/a>, New Order<\/a> and Joy Division<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The singer-songwriter made an appearance on the latest episode of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame podcast Music Makes Us<\/em><\/a>, which is presented by Kathleen Hanna<\/a> of Bikini Kill<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the wide-ranging, hour-long chat, the pair spoke about Rodrigo\u2019s love of The White Stripes<\/a> (after she covered \u2018We\u2019re Going To Be Friends\u2019 at the Rock Hall ceremony<\/a> recently), Hanna\u2019s early Riot Grrrl<\/a> days, and more.<\/p>\n

At one point, the \u2018Guts\u2019<\/a> pop star gave a potential hint at the sound of her third studio album by name-checking some of the acts she\u2019d been enjoying lately.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did Glastonbury with Robert Smith of The Cure<\/a>. After that, I\u2019ve been diving deeper into The Cure\u2019s discography, as well as some of their contemporaries like New Order and Joy Division,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
