Simon Cowell\u2019s new boy band, December 10, are potentially facing legal action over their name.<\/p>\n
Having discovered acts such as\u00a0Leona Lewis<\/a>,\u00a0Little Mix<\/a>, and\u00a0Fifth Harmony<\/a> through his reality shows including X Factor<\/em>, Cowell launched a new search on December 10 with the Netflix<\/a>\u00a0show\u00a0Simon Cowell: The Next Act<\/em>, which sees him search for his next boyband.<\/p>\n The new group \u2013 comprised of Hendrik Christoffersen, Cruz Lee-Ojo, John Fadare, Nicolas Alves, Josh Olliver, Danny Bretherton and Sean Hayden \u2013 were put together as part of the show, with Cowell announcing they were called December 10 upon its launch last week.<\/p>\n Now, Scottish metal band December Tenth have taken to social media to report being inundated with messages confusing the two bands.<\/p>\n In a now-deleted post, the band wrote: \u201cIt came to light over the last few days that Simon Cowell, Netflix and Universal Music, are involved in a new boy band that share, to some extent, our name December Tenth,\u201d per The Mirror<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cNow if anyone in Simon\u2019s team, Universal or Netflix, would like to get in touch with ourselves and our legal team they can do so,\u201d they added. \u201cI would like to point out, the hundreds of new followers we have over the last few days are most welcome, but I\u2019m not entirely sure they are all genuine.\u201d<\/p>\n NME<\/em> have reached out to representatives for December 10 and Cowell for comment.<\/p>\n
