An expansive new entertainment venue will open its first New York location\u00a0at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park in early 2026.<\/p>\n
Main Event will take over a 46,189 square-foot storefront next to Off 5th Saks Fifth Avenue and Regal Cinemas, offering experiences that include bowling, laser tag, arcade, billiards and gravity ropes courses, along with food and drink options.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Main Event will provide guests a dynamic new place to play, dine and connect, strengthening Tanger Deer Park\u2019s appeal as a go-to destination for both shopping and entertainment,” said Lisa Samperisi, marketing manager at Tanger Deer Park, in a news release.<\/p>\n
The Nike store at Deer\u00a0Park will also relocate into a larger storefront near Polo Ralph Lauren, Ugg and Karl Lagerfeld. A news release touts “an elevated, digitally enhanced shopping experience.”<\/p>\n
The changes are part of a larger shake-up at the\u00a0739,000-square-foot shopping center, which in the past month has opened a Canada Weather Gear and Toys” R” Us, said spokeswoman Shannon Murphy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Other brands that have joined the more than 100 stores at the\u00a0outlets this year include Birkenstock, Marc Jacobs and Pandora, she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At 4.4%, the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park has a higher retail availability rate than\u00a0the outlets in Bellport and Riverhead, which have 2.2% and 0.3% availability rates respectively, according to data from CoStar,\u00a0a commercial real estate data and analytics company.<\/p>\n
All are\u00a0lower than the\u00a05.0% rate for the overall retail market on Long Island, “indicating that they are performing strongly,” said Jared Koeck, associate director of market analytics at CoStar Group.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There is just\u00a0one space available at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park, he added,\u00a0a more than 30,000 square feet storefront\u00a0vacated by New York Sports Club.<\/p>\n
