The Cleveland County Recreational and Entertainment Facilities Authority accepted proposals to design, build and operate the Rock Creek Entertainment District arena and parking garage at its meeting Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n The authority<\/span> issued a request for proposals on Aug. 12<\/span><\/a> with a submission deadline of Oct. 13. According to the request, OU would serve as the primary tenant of the multi-purpose arena.<\/span><\/p>\n Proposals to design, build and operate the arena came from:<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0Legends Global<\/span><\/a>, a venue management group based in Los Angeles;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0Gensler Architects<\/span><\/a>, a design and architecture firm headquartered in San Francisco;<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 and<\/span> Manhattan Construction LLC<\/span><\/a>, an Oklahoma City-based construction company<\/span><\/p>\n Proposals to design and build the arena\u2019s parking garage came from:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0OVG<\/span><\/a>, a professional sports and commercial real estate company based in Denver<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0Populous Architects<\/span><\/a>, a sports and entertainment design company headquartered in Kansas City<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 and<\/span> Flintco LLC<\/span><\/a>, a construction and design company registered and licensed in 34 states<\/span><\/p>\n The authority will send the proposals to<\/span> Hunden Partners<\/span><\/a>, a real estate consulting firm based in Chicago, for further review. The proposals will be discussed at a later meeting, according to a county spokesperson.<\/span><\/p>\n Manhattan Construction LLC is currently overseeing<\/span> the construction of the Oklahoma Aviation Academy<\/span><\/a>, which will serve as a standalone building in the Max Westheimer Airport.<\/span><\/p>\n Flintco served as the general contracting company that oversaw the construction on Norman Public Library Central.
