Apple TV<\/a> and Legendary Entertainment<\/a> are expanding the \u201cMonsterverse\u201d universe, announcing a new show starring Wyatt Russell<\/a>, who will reprise his role as Colonel Lee Shaw in a prequel series about young Lee Shaw<\/a>. Writer\/producer Joby Harold<\/a> is set to serve as showrunner on the new series.<\/p>\n

Also as part of the news, Harold has sealed an overall deal with Legendary, in which he will oversee the company\u2019s entire \u201cMonsterverse\u201d franchise for Apple TV.<\/p>\n

Harold is also executive producer of Apple TV\u2019s and Legendary\u2019s \u201cMonarch: Legacy of Monsters<\/a>,\u201d which returns for Season 2 on Feb. 27.<\/p>\n
