\n\tFox Entertainment Studios<\/a> has signed entertainment executive Jeffrey Levine<\/a> and his production company Bronson Canyon Pictures to a multi-year first-look deal, the company announced Wednesday. Levine will develop and produce scripted television series across broadcast, streaming and emerging digital storytelling platforms for the studio under the agreement.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tLevine\u2019s first projects will be adaptations of literary IP, including the forthcoming thriller \u201cRifle Season\u201d by Pat Kelly and historical noir novel \u201cDarktown\u201d by Thomas Mullen, released in 2016.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cJeffrey is a proven creative talent with exceptional taste, extensive industry relationships and a producer\u2019s instinct for finding stories audiences want to see,\u201d said Hannah Pillemer, head of scripted at Fox Entertainment Studios, in a statement. \u201cHe\u2019s already identified his first two adaptations based on incredible literary IP and we\u2019re thrilled to collaborate with him as he builds a bold, talent-driven slate under his Bronson Canyon banner.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBefore launching Bronson Canyon Pictures, Levin served\u00a0as Senior Vice President of Scripted Development at Fremantle, working on projects including \u201cAmerican Gods,\u201d \u201cLittle Bird\u201d and the upcoming Amazon U.K. series \u201cKill Jackie.\u201d He also worked at Paula Weinstein\u2019s Spring Creek Productions as a producer, where he developed and executive produced \u201cToo Big to Fail,\u201d HBO\u2019s Emmy-nominated and WGA Award-winning film, and produced Warner Bros.\u2019 \u201cThis Is Where I Leave You.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting moment to be part of Fox Entertainment Studios\u2019 growth and vision for scripted storytelling,\u201d said Levine in a statement. \u201cHannah and the entire team have been incredibly supportive and collaborative as we begin to acquire, develop and package projects for the streaming and global marketplace and build distinctive, high-quality content together.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPreviously, Levine held executive positions at Castle Rock Entertainment, TNT and The Zanuck Company, and began his career at The Goldwyn Company.
