In the second of two<\/a> bombshell articles profiling Trump\u2019s inner circle, the magazine said that Wiles had a \u201cfreestanding video monitor\u201d showing a live feed of Trump\u2019s Truth Social<\/a> posts next to a fireplace in her West Wing corner office.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Colbert couldn\u2019t resist making light of the setup.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSo, there\u2019s fire and a constant stream of Trump\u2019s social media posts? Are you sure that\u2019s your office, \u2019cause it sounds like Hell to me!\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Colbert also reminded his audience about how Trump had politicized the Justice Department in \u201cunprecedented ways\u201d over the past 11 months, and yet Wiles told Vanity Fair in an August interview that she didn\u2019t think the president was on a \u201cretribution tour.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cIn some cases, it may look like retribution. And there may be an element of that from time to time. Who would blame him? Not me,\u201d she told the magazine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Colbert took matters into his own hands.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cOK, uh, then I\u2019ll do it: Donald Trump<\/a>, I blame you!\u201d he said while pointing at the camera, while the audience erupted in cheers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
