Shreveport’s Max Chambers returned home Wednesday and was surprised by a crowd of his family, teachers and other supporters after his appearance in “The Voice” finale<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chambers, 14, said he was honored by Shreveport’s recognition and is excited for whatever God has in store for him next.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“All of it was such a great experience,” Chambers said. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that stardom is great, but being a good person with stardom is the goal.”<\/p>\n

    Chambers placed fifth in “The Voice” finale after being eliminated and then brought back as a “Wildcard” because of a fan vote. He said that singing “Blue Christmas” by Elvis Presley during the finale with his coach, Michael Bubl\u00e9, was one of his favorite moments.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
