At the start of this year, the Princess of Wales made a moving official visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital where she received her treatment for cancer<\/a>. And now, as the year comes to a close, she has stepped out in support of the hospital\u2019s charity once again with a trip to a special garden.<\/p>\n

Kate visited the Ever After Garden on Saturday, which raises funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The garden in Chelsea, west London, was designed as a tranquil space where people can remember loved-ones they have lost to cancer by planting a rose in their memory. First started in 2019 by designer Dame Anya Hindmarch, and fashion writer Camilla Morton in memory of their friend production designer Michael Howells, it has become an annual event that has so far raised a total of more than \u00a31.2 million. The garden this year features<\/a> more than 30,000 illuminated white roses, each planted in someone\u2019s memory.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to all those who have contributed to the Ever After Garden, which raises vital funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity,\u201d the Princess wrote in a personal message on social media following her visit. \u201cEvery flower, every light, is a memory held together, an illumination of shared love, remembrance, and hope.\u201d The Princess also left a handwritten message at the garden which read, \u201cIn loving memory of all those who have lost their lives to cancer. C.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kate received her chemotherapy treatment in secret at the Royal Marsden following her cancer diagnosis at the start of 2024<\/a>. After her public visit there in January 2025<\/a>, she issued a message thanking the hospital for looking after her so well. \u201cMy heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything,\u201d she wrote. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.\u201d The Princess also revealed during that visit that she was in remission.<\/p>\n
