Influencers Matt<\/strong> and Abby Howard<\/strong><\/a> found their marriage shifted after they suffered a pregnancy loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019ve had relatively good lives and two or three years ago I remember having this conversation with you about, like, \u2018Wow, things have gotten so good,\u2019\u201d Matt told Abby, both 27, on a Wednesday, December 17, episode of their \u201cUnplanned\u201d podcast<\/a>, playing an \u201cAgree or Disagree\u201d game about various statements. \u201cIt was, like, \u2018What could possibly go wrong?\u2019 I feel like this was the thing [that was] for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt really changed my perspective, like, it really is so sad how \u2026 awful this world can be. It\u2019s so hard to work though that with your spouse, but we\u2019re getting through it and things are looking up.\u201d<\/p>\n

The social media stars announced in September that they lost their third baby<\/a> weeks after confirming Abby\u2019s pregnancy. (Matt and Abby also share sons Griffin, 3, and August, 2.)<\/p>\n

The couple \u2014 who exchanged vows in 2019 \u2014 rose to internet stardom before welcoming sons Griffin and August in 2022 and 2023, respectively. The pair\u2019s content ranges from the ins and outs of married life to the joys and difficulties of [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While addressing the miscarriage on Wednesday\u2019s episode, Matt posited that their marriage has \u201cchanged for the better.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s what John Delony says. He says, \u2018When things like this happen, you\u2019re kind of building a brand-new marriage,\u2019\u201d Abby replied, referring to the radio personality. \u201cIt\u2019s, like, that marriage is gone and this is a new marriage we\u2019re building together. I really do feel that way in regards to us in this marriage because of the way that [we faced an] immense grief.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Abby, no one besides Matt can relate to her level of sadness since they were the \u201conly ones that got to experience\u201d their late baby girl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very isolated to us is what it felt like,\u201d Abby added. \u201cThat was a very bonding experience. Miscarriage is unique in the sense, too, [and] it can be very damaging to marriage because one person\u2019s ready to \u2018move on\u2019 before the other person is. We just had to grow so much in the our emotional intelligence of our own selves that also has grown our emotional intelligence of one another.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abby and Matt have also since worked on their communication skills and boundaries.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTikTok couple Matt and Abby Howard will not be disclosing the details of their baby\u2019s health prior to their pregnancy loss. \u201cI think we\u2019re gonna keep all of her specific medical stuff private, like we would our other children,\u201d Abby, 26, said during the Wednesday, October 22, episode of their \u201cUnplanned\u201d podcast. Matt, 27, agreed, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud of us because we have both started going to therapy<\/a> frequently,\u201d Matt said. \u201cWe\u2019ve both been going to marriage therapy, and I think our communication has taken a leap.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Matt and Abby navigated their grief, they adopted a puppy with their sons.<\/p>\n
