Jack Chatham, the forward-thinking British dance producer who records as Jam City, released the album Jam City Presents EFM<\/a><\/em> in 2023. On that record, he worked with artists like Aidan, Empress Of, and Wet. Today, Jam City follows that LP with a new two-song single called death of an english high street<\/em>. This time, he’s making music all on his own.<\/p>\n

The two new Jam City tracks, “star 2” and “angels,” are full-on dance tracks. “angels” has vocals, but I don’t know whether they’re new or sampled or what. They tracks are driven by serious early-’90s breakbeat attacks, but they’re woozy and evocative, as if they’re trapped in memories. Listen below.<\/p>\n
