Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a> have rebranded their nonprofit organization, the Archewell Foundation<\/a>, as the charity celebrates its fifth anniversary.<\/p>\n

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Friday, December 19, that the Archewell Foundation will become Archewell Philanthropies.<\/p>\n

\u201cFive years ago, The Archewell Foundation was born from a simple but profound belief: to show up and do good,\u201d co-executive directors James Holt<\/strong> and Shauna Nep<\/strong> said in an impact report<\/a> issued on Friday. \u201cToday, as we mark our fifth anniversary, that mission remains as vital and urgent as ever \u2014 now carried forward through Archewell Philanthropies, a growing platform designed to deepen and expand how we serve communities around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

They continued, \u201cWhat began as a commitment to compassion has evolved into a powerful force for meaningful change, particularly in championing global mental wellness across our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, first set up the Archewell Foundation in 2020 after stepping down as working members of the U.K. royal family<\/a>. Through the nonprofit, the couple aimed to continue the philanthropic work they undertook as working royals.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the Archewell Foundation has supported programs and initiatives spanning digital safety, women\u2019s leadership and education. In 2023, the foundation launched the Parents\u2019 Network<\/a> to support bereaved parents whose children have been affected by online harm, including on social media.<\/p>\n

That same year, Archewell also launched The Welcome Project<\/a>, a community-building initiative initially devised to support refugee women who had resettled from Afghanistan to the U.S. Since its launch, the Welcome Project has expanded to support refugee women from various countries around the world who have resettled in the U.S. and Canada.<\/p>\n

Archewell\u2019s name change marks Meghan\u2019s second rebrand in 2025. In February, the former Suits<\/em> star renamed her personal lifestyle brand from American Orchard Riviera to As Ever<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The couple made headlines in 2020 when they officially announced their plans to step away from their roles as senior working members of the royal family. \u201cLast year, I had thought, \u2018American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name.\u2019 It\u2019s my neighborhood; it\u2019s a nickname for Santa Barbara, but it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area,\u201d Meghan explained.<\/p>\n
