Taylor Swift<\/a>\u00a0revealed the dating\u00a0advice her\u00a0mom, Andrea Swift,\u00a0gave her right before she started dating\u00a0Kansas City Chief\u2019s tight end Travis Kelce<\/a>. <\/p>\n Disney+ released two new episodes of\u00a0Taylor’s new documentary series,\u00a0The End of an Era,\u00a0<\/em>on Friday in the second installment of the three-part series. The documentary episodes give fans a look at what was going on behind the scenes of the historic\u00a0tour\u00a0and the fourth episode deals with the start of\u00a0Taylor’s\u00a0relationship with Kelce.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n When Andrea called Taylor to tell her about Kelce, she told her that she\u00a0wouldn\u2019t\u00a0necessarily take what she was going to say well.\u00a0But,\u00a0Taylor said her mom told her something to the effect of, \u201cyou\u2019ve\u00a0gotta\u00a0start doing something different,\u201d with regards to her dating life.\u00a0<\/p>\n During an episode of the\u00a0New Heights\u00a0<\/em>podcast\u00a0in 2023, Kelce tells his brother, Jason, about how he went to\u00a0Taylor’s concert and was disappointed she\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0meet with people before or after the show. Kelce said he wanted to give her a friendship bracelet that he made with his phone number on it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n On the fourth episode of the\u00a0End of the Eras\u00a0<\/em>documentary, Andrea says the first time Taylor heard\u00a0of Kelce was when she was playing the Kansas City show and saw his name in the locker room. Taylor said she\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0know who he was but that her cousins were taking pictures under his name.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Andrea said she saw a headline that Kelce brought a friendship bracelet with\u00a0his number on it to her show and wants to meet her. She called her cousin Robin, who she called her \u201cresident expert\u201d on the Chiefs and asked for information on Kelce.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cShe goes, \u2018Oh my god, he\u2019s the nicest guy and you know what he really loves his mom,\u2019\u201d Andrea said. \u201cI went, ding, ding, ding.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Andrea said Kelce came off \u201cso earnest\u201d and\u00a0him\u00a0coming\u00a0to her show and bringing her a friendship bracelet was so nice that she thought there was something worth pursuing.\u00a0<\/p>\n But,\u00a0Andrea\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0sure how she was going to get Taylor to meet Kelce. Taylor said\u00a0she\u2019d\u00a0been \u201cvery non-athlete” in terms of who she dated because she\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0think\u00a0they\u2019d\u00a0have a lot to talk about since\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0not an athlete.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n “I just became so obsessed with him that I became obsessed with football,\u201d Taylor said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Kelce also sent Taylor flowers on her tour after they started dating and during an earlier episode of the documentary, she said a call from Kelce gives her energy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Of course, the rest is\u00a0history,\u00a0and we know how that story played out.
