\n <\/div><\/div> <\/p>\n (Wikimedia Commons)<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Miss Mexico and now Miss Universe, Fatima Bosch, pulled a Jenny Rivera at a Telemundo interview, as content creator Elizabeth Puente<\/span> said in a video<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Heavy is the crown that Bosch wears since being declared Miss Universe, and that was before she walked out during the taping of \u201cPica y se Extiende,\u201d a show on Telemundo.<\/p>\n The Mexican pageant queen has made several headlines this year, even before she was crowned Miss Universe, and some of it has been due to her refusal to stay quiet when being attacked.<\/p>\n At a live-streamed event in preparation for the Miss Universe contest in Nonthaburi, Thailand, Miss Universe Thailand director Nawat Itsaragrisil questioned then-Miss Mexico in front of the other contestants about why she had not posted about the host country on social media. As she attempted to explain it was a misunderstanding, Itsaragrisil continued to criticize her behavior.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIf you follow your order from your national director,\u201d Itsaragrisil is heard saying in the video. The next part of his comment is in dispute, because he stated he said \u201cdamage\u201d and Bosch, as well as others, believe he said \u201cyou are dumbhead.\u201d Did he mean to say that if Bosch followed the order from the Mexico director, she would be damaged? Doesn\u2019t seem like that would be less of an insult, but either way, the director continued to intimidate the beauty queen.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t give you an opportunity to talk,\u201d Itsaragrisil is also heard<\/span> saying in the video<\/span><\/a>, before he calls security. Then Miss Mexico stood along with other Miss Universe contestants and the 2024 Miss Universe. The Thailand director threatened the contestants that they would be removed from the contest if they left. The one who ended up leaving was Itsaragrisil, who was removed from the Miss Universe pageant before the main event. He has now filed a claim of defamation against Bosch, according to<\/span> People<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n After Miss Mexico won the Miss Universe contest, which some questioned, wondering if the crown was on her head because of the controversy. One of the judges, Lebanese-French musician Omar Harfouch, said finalists had been pre-selected.\u00a0<\/p>\n The controversies don\u2019t stop there, because Miss Universe director and 50 percent owner Ra\u00fal Rocha of the pageant is currently under investigation by the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic in Mexico over alleged connections to an organized crime network.\u00a0<\/p>\n Rocha has also faced scrutiny because many viewers felt that Ivory Coast delegate and fourth runner-up, Olivia Yac\u00e9, should have won the contest. He responded that Yac\u00e9 did not have the proper visas to travel as Miss Universe for the whole year. But some are blaming favoritism since Rocha had a contract with Mexico\u2019s state-owned oil company Pemex, to which Bosch\u2019s father is an advisor.<\/p>\n He said the contract was awarded via a fair public bidding process that predates his co-ownership of the Miss Universe pageant. Pemex also responded to the allegations, saying in a statement on X that it had a temporary contract with companies linked to Rocha in 2023, but emphasized that the relationship no longer exists.<\/span><\/p>\n But what does that have to do with Miss Universe herself? That\u2019s what Telemundo reporters seemed to ask her, even though these are not usually the type of questions that a beauty queen is used to answering.\u00a0<\/p>\n As Los Angeles content creator Puente asks in her video, while she\u2019s doing her makeup, \u201cWhy don\u2019t they ask the men these questions?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n They questioned the beauty queen about the visas, even though she is not in charge of the pageant or the requirements to win.<\/p>\n They also asked her about the lawsuit and Rocha\u2019s investigation, neither of which is part of her duties as Miss Universe.
