King Charles III is reportedly discovering that getting the ex-Prince Andrew out of Royal Lodge isn\u2019t an easy task.<\/p>\n
While Sarah Ferguson was given a firm move-out date<\/a> of January 31, 2026, according to People<\/em><\/a>, it appears that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor\u2019s exit will take much longer. According to Rob Shuter\u2019s Substack<\/a>, the disgraced royal is a \u201cnatural hoarder,\u201d and his \u201crooms are packed with papers, photographs, and personal collections.\u201d That is one problem the royal family is facing, but there\u2019s also another issue.<\/p>\n More from SheKnows<\/strong><\/p>\n Andrew reportedly had a substantial collection of \u201cpriceless artwork<\/a> and antique furniture\u201d that \u201cbelongs to the Windsor family, not Andrew.\u201d It\u2019s been an \u201congoing debate\u201d over what he personally owns versus what belongs to the Crown,\u201d and they are detailing each item \u201ccarefully to avoid future disputes.\u201d<\/p>\n The moving trucks have been removing the valuable items \u201cunder the cover of darkness\u201d and putting them in storage for now. It\u2019s believed that Andrew\u2019s eviction could take months.<\/p>\n Royal author Robert Jobson agreed with Shuter\u2019s assessment, telling Hello!<\/em><\/a> in early December that Andrew is \u201ckicking his heels\u201d over the move.<\/p>\n \u201cThe disgraced royal has made it clear to the King and courtiers who sent him packing that he is going nowhere fast,\u201d he added. \u201cDespite formal notice being served in October to surrender his Royal Lodge lease, he won\u2019t budge until February at the earliest, suggesting he will spend Christmas at Royal Lodge while the King invites the rest of his close family to Sandringham.\u201d<\/p>\n Andrew\u2019s next residence is expected to be a \u201cramshackle farm\u201d<\/a> on King Charles\u2019 Sandringham estate, according to The U.S. Sun<\/em>.<\/a> It will be a fresh start for the former Duke of York, but it\u2019s a change that he doesn\u2019t seem to be open to \u2014 it was a decision handed down by his older brother after the Jeffrey Epstein scandal continued to circle Andrew and Ferguson.<\/p>\n Royal expert Jennie Bond\u00a0told the\u00a0Mirror<\/em><\/a> in November that Andrew hasn\u2019t learned his lesson, and doesn\u2019t want to humble himself.<\/p>\n \u201cYou have to remember that he has consistently protested his innocence.
