Danish audio outfit DALI has announced a new Hi-Fi speaker<\/a> series, which combines advanced acoustic engineering with contemporary Scandi design. Landing globally in February 2026, the Sonik range will comprise seven models covering stereo, home cinema and on-wall applications.<\/p>\n

The enclosures come a choice of finishes: Black Ash, Walnut, Natural Oak and White, complete with aluminium tweeter faceplates and magnetic grilles.<\/p>\n

The Sonik speaker range is broad, but cohesive. The standmount Sonik 1 is compact and unfussy, well suited to small rooms or secondary systems. Sonik 3 adds body and scale, making it a natural partner for a quality integrated amplifier.<\/p>\n

Of the floorstanders, Sonik 5 is slim and elegant, designed to disappear visually, while Sonik 7 brings more musical authority for larger rooms. The flagship Sonik 9, complete with hybrid tweeter and three 7-inch bass drivers, has been designed with orchestral scale in mind.<\/p>\n

For wall-mounted and AV applications, Sonik On-Wall offers a discreet profile, while Sonik Cinema is engineered for flexibility, with front-firing ports and a rotatable logo allowing horizontal or vertical placement, for left, centre, right duties.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Inside DALI\u2019s next-gen loudspeaker range<\/h2>\n

At the heart of every Sonik speaker is DALI\u2019s 29mm ultra-light soft dome tweeter, designed for wide dispersion and low loss. In the Sonik 7 and Sonik 9, this is joined by the brand\u2019s Hybrid Tweeter System, pairing the dome with a planar magnetostatic tweeter, for an enhanced spatial presentation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bass and midrange are handled by DALI\u2019s Clarity Cone drivers, available in 133mm and 178mm variants. Made from a blend of paper and wood fibre, these cones are said to favour speed and texture over brute force.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Driving all this is DALI\u2019s SMC Essential magnet system, a clever hybrid design that reduces distortion by minimising unwanted magnetic effects. It\u2019s an approach borrowed from far more expensive speakers on the DALI family. The Dual Flare bass reflex ports further refine low-frequency timing, while the on-wall and cinema models use specialised porting to suit real-world placement.<\/p>\n

As expected ed from DALI, build quality looks to be impressive. CNC-machined MDF cabinets, rigid internal bracing and separate bass chambers reduce resonance. Aluminium spike outriggers on the floorstanders add stability and a subtle visual flourish.<\/p>\n
