The service creates opportunities for children and young people from across Wales to play, sing, take part in and create music all year round \u2014 in schools, settings, and within communities. The funding will enable continuing support for key programme strands including:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Music in Schools &#8211;<\/strong> providing support to ensure all children and young people of school age have access to opportunities to play, sing, take part in and create music<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Making Music with Others<\/strong> &#8211; including specific support for music ensembles and opportunities for young people to gain industry experience through working alongside musicians<\/p>\n<p><strong>National instrument, resource and equipment library<\/strong> &#8211; ensuring that young people, particularly those from low-income households, have access to instruments, for music activities in and outside schools.<\/p>\n<p>Across Wales this Christmas the National Music Services has helped deliver concerts and activities that showcase talent; events include \u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ceredigion<\/strong>: <em>Atgof o\u2019r Ser<\/em> brought together junior and senior orchestras, harps, brass bands, and professional soloists alongside the canata\u2019s composer, Robat Arwyn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Neath Port Talbot<\/strong>: Three major concerts featured junior and senior ensembles, plus a staff brass group performing at Ysgol Maes y Coed. Their double-reed project introduced mini bassoons and oboes to new learners, while the youth orchestra rehearsed <em>War of the Worlds<\/em> with Jeff Wayne.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pembrokeshire<\/strong>: A pop-up community choir joined forces with county ensembles for a concert featuring brass bands, wind groups, and rock bands. Two First Experiences celebration concerts united 607 pupils, performing instrumental pieces and songs using Charanga Cymru.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Swansea<\/strong>: From intimate school assemblies to grand events at Brangwyn Hall and Swansea University\u2019s Great Hall, Swansea Music ensured every child could participate.
