Another senior aide shared, “Having the Sussexes present would inevitably become a major distraction. <\/p>\n
\u201cEven a brief appearance would dominate headlines and risk overwhelming what is meant to be a private family celebration,\u201d they continued.<\/p>\n
“The overriding fear is more controversy at the worst possible time. There is still deep unease about trust, and many within the family worry that private moments could once again become public.”<\/p>\n
Charles, who recently revealed that his cancer treatment will continue in 2026, has not \u201ccompletely ruled out\u201d inviting his estranged son to \u201cspend time with his immediate family.\u201d<\/p>\n
