Today, Prince William<\/a> took his eldest son, Prince George<\/a>, to London\u2019s Passage Charity for a day of volunteering. The organization, which fights against homelessness through prevention programs, housing support, and food pantries, obtained a royal patronage from William back in 2019\u201426 years after his mother, Princess Diana<\/a>, first brought him to the site in 1993.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the charity in 2016, William recalled those early visits with his mother, and the impact it had on him as a child. \u201cThe visits I made as a child to this place left a deep and lasting impression upon me\u2013about how important it is to ensure that everyone in our society, especially the poorest, are treated with respect, dignity and kindness, and are given the opportunities to fulfill their potential in life,\u201d he shared<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, he has passed on her legacy to his own son, who joined him in preparing Christmas lunch. <\/p>\n

Alongside images and videos from the day, the royals shared a sweet tribute to the late princess: a photo of Diana with William from their December 1993 trip to the charity. Preparing meals with the chefs, Diana wore a navy-blue blazer and matching skirt, layered over a festive green top. \u201cChristmas at the Passage, 32 years apart,\u201d they captioned the post.<\/p>\n
