Princess Beatrice<\/strong> and Princess Eugenie<\/strong> may have received an invitation<\/a> to spend Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham this year, but the same can\u2019t be said for Prince Harry<\/strong> and Meghan Markle<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

According to reports, King Charles<\/strong> has yet to extend an invitation to his youngest son and daughter-in-law, meaning they will be spending Christmas at their home in Montecito, California, alongside six-year-old son Prince Archie<\/strong> and four-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet. <\/strong><\/p>\n

While they won\u2019t be joining the royal fold in Norfolk, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear to have firmly established their own festive traditions. The former Suits<\/em> star offered a glimpse of this during her With Love, Meghan<\/em> holiday special on Netflix, which featured controversial hand-made giant advent calendars<\/a> for their children, filled with positive and inspiring handwritten messages.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Will Still Contact King Charles At Christmas<\/h2>\n

Despite the lack of a Christmas invitation, it doesn’t appear that the royal feud<\/a> has returned to its worst phase. In fact, things reportedly continue to move in the right direction, with a potential reconciliation still on the cards.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, reportedly plan to call King Charles over Christmas, with Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop<\/em> quoting an insider as saying: “They won’t be there in person, but they will be in touch. It’s important to Harry that his father hears from him on Christmas.”<\/p>\n

Interestingly, at one point this month, it was looking possible that Prince Harry and Meghan *could* have been invited, amid reports that the King wants to go all out this Christmas just in case it’s one of, or indeed his last.<\/p>\n

An insider told Us Weekly<\/em> that King Charles “knows his time is precious” and “wants a special Christmas in case it’s his last.”<\/p>\n

Royal commentator Amanda Matta doubled down on this, and reportedly told Fox News<\/em> that “the idea that he wants this Christmas to be ‘extra special’ makes sense \u2013 not because it’s necessarily his last, but because he’s acutely aware of time and legacy.”<\/p>\n

“For the royals, the unique blend of tradition and togetherness at Christmas acts as a reset button\u2026 No one really knows the full extent of Charles’ health struggles<\/a>, other than the fact that they are ongoing,” she went on.<\/p>\n

“After such a turbulent year \u2013 with family rifts, Andrew’s removal<\/a> from royal duties, and his own ongoing treatment now dragging into its third year \u2013 it’s understandable that he’d want to make this Christmas feel especially meaningful,” she concluded.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
