JoJo Siwa<\/strong><\/a> and boyfriend Chris Hughes<\/strong><\/a> are looking to take the next step in their relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou always get people [who] get engaged on Christmas or Christmas morning, I see on Instagram every year you\u2019re going to see somebody who gets engaged,\u201d Hughes, 32, told The Sun<\/em><\/a> on Sunday, December 21. \u201cI kinda like the idea of it not being at a time where it could be expected.\u201d<\/p>\n

Siwa, meanwhile, appeared to think about Hughes\u2019 admission for a moment before nodding her head.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlright,\u201d Siwa, 22, said. \u201cKeep me guessing, aren\u2019t ya?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThings are heating up between JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes. The couple met while they were both contestants on the U.K.\u2019s Celebrity Big Brother in April 2025. Viewers started to speculate that the duo were becoming more than just friends while the show was airing. However, Siwa continually denied that her relationship with Hughes was [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Siwa then shared that she has considered the possibility of getting Hughes a ring and proposing to him, which he shut down.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve spoke[n] to people about it, before you, obviously. And I actually said, I think if I was proposed to, that would make me really uncomfortable,\u201d Hughes explained.<\/p>\n

Siwa noted that she wouldn\u2019t get down on one knee unless he waited seven years to pop the question to her<\/a>, which Hughes said was \u201cfair.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t feel like anyone should take seven years. It shouldn\u2019t take seven years to work out if you want to marry someone, do you know what I mean?\u201d Hughes said. \u201cSo yeah, you can go off that and then that won\u2019t ever happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tChis Hughes and JoJo Siwa have talked about taking the next step \u2014 or two \u2014 in their budding relationship. \u201cWe genuinely speak to each other about this,\u201d Hughes, 32, told Us Weekly exclusively about whether he and Siwa, 22, discuss marriage and kids while promoting his campaign with Nutri-Grain. \u201cWhen you are absolutely besotted [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cJust so you know, on May 27, 2032, I will be down on one knee,\u201d Siwa replied as she and Hughes laughed. \u201cI will not wait one extra day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Siwa and Hughes met while appearing as contestants on the U.K.\u2019s Celebrity Big Brother<\/em> in April. While rumors swirled about their relationship status, Siwa confirmed in June<\/a> that she is dating Hughes. The next month, Hughes exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> that he and Siwa have had conversations about their future.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe genuinely speak to each other about this,\u201d Hughes said at the time. \u201cWhen you are absolutely besotted with each other and you are in love with someone, I think it\u2019s fun to look forward to those things.\u201d<\/p>\n
