(KMIZ)<\/p>\n<p>The University of Missouri Board of Curators is seeking to attract developers for an entertainment and hospitality district on campus to enhance the university&#8217;s offerings.<\/p>\n<p>The university aims to build on the momentum of the current renovations of Memorial Stadium and continue its goal to enhance the game-day experience for fans. The university will actively seek proposals to open certain areas on or near campus for <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/showme.missouri.edu\/2025\/university-of-missouri-takes-first-step-in-exploring-opportunities-for-commercial-development-on-campus\/?utm_campaign=823030_University%20of%20Missouri%20takes%20first%20step%20in%20exploring%20opportunities%20for%20development%20on%20campus&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=The_Curators_of_the_University_of_Missouri&amp;dm_i=7JGU,HN1Y,4NFRNL,2XZZ7,1\">entertainment and hospitality<\/a>, enhancing the university as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>There will be three development zones that the university has designated for developers:<\/p>\n<p>Development Zone #1: North Campus\/Central Business District<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5th &amp; Locust Street North<\/li>\n<li> 5th &amp; Locust Street South<\/li>\n<li>10th &amp; Locust Street<\/li>\n<li>Hitt &amp; Paquin Street<\/li>\n<li>University Avenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Development Zone #2: Campus Core<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flat Branch Creek<\/li>\n<li>Stadium &amp; Tiger Avenue<\/li>\n<li>Stadium &amp; College Avenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Development Zone #3: Athletic Sports Complex<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Hearnes Complex<\/li>\n<li>Gustin Golf Course <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the university&#8217;s search for developers, several requirements must be followed when requests are submitted. According to <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/\/Users\/kmiznewsuser\/Downloads\/MU%20Commercial%20Real%20Estate%20Solicitation%20v10.15.25.pdf\">university documents<\/a>, developers should consider and strive its request to follow the guiding principles of the university, such as:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Projects should prioritize hospitality and\/or entertainment, enhancing the game-day experience within the MU Athletics Sports Complex and may include other mixed-use components to form a year-round commercial hub.<\/li>\n<li>Projects within the MU Athletics Sports Complex should incorporate novel ideas, features, and benefits that have the potential to differentiate\/elevate MU Athletics.<\/li>\n<li>Projects should generate meaningful revenue for the University, either through upfront funds or over time through on-going payments.<\/li>\n<li>Projects should not require any University capital be committed.<\/li>\n<li>Projects should not require that the University issue or underwrite the use of bonds as a financing source.<\/li>\n<li>Projects should not impact the University\u2019s credit or rating.<\/li>\n<li>Projects should be financially feasible and based on realistic assumptions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Developers must send in their request to the Board of Curators by January 9, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- .entry__content --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<strong>BE PART OF THE CONVERSATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ABC 17 News is committed to providing a forum for civil and constructive conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Please keep your comments respectful and relevant.
