Kunal Nayyar<\/a> acts as a real-life Secret Santa to many struggling with steep medical costs.<\/p>\n Nayyar famously starred as Raj Koothrappali on all 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory<\/a><\/em> from 2007 to 2019. During his time on the CBS sitcom, Nayyar landed in the top five of Forbes\u2019 2015<\/a> and 2018<\/a> highest-paid TV actors lists, earning $20 million and $23.5 million, respectively. Nayyar reportedly brought home $1 million per episode of the series.<\/p>\n In the years since the show\u2019s end, Nayyar has used his earnings to benefit others. \u201cMoney has given me greater freedom and the greatest gift is the ability to give back, to change people\u2019s lives,\u201d he shared in an interview with The i Paper<\/a> published earlier this month.<\/p>\n In addition to funding university scholarships for students from \u201cdisadvantaged backgrounds,\u201d Nayyar and his wife, Neha Kapur, also \u201csupport animal charities\u201d because of their love for dogs. \u201cBut what I really love to do is go on GoFundMe at night and just pay random families\u2019 medical bills,\u201d Nayyar added. \u201cThat\u2019s my masked vigilante thing!\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cSo, no, money doesn\u2019t feel like a burden. It feels like a grace from the universe.\u201d<\/p>\n In the interview, Nayyar noted that donating money is not the only way people can help others who are less fortunate. \u201cRight now people are not happy because we are all expecting someone else to be kind. The franchise will continue to expand with the upcoming series Stuart Fails to Save the Universe<\/em><\/a>, which will premiere on HBO Max next year.<\/p>\n Though the new show centers around Kevin Sussman<\/a>\u2018s titular Stuart, The Big Bang Theory<\/em> cocreator Chuck Lorre<\/a> hinted<\/a> at the return of some OG cast members in an interview with TVLine<\/a> back in July.<\/p>\n When asked by Lorre if they \u201chope\u201d to see some Big Bang Theory<\/em> characters in the new spinoff, the interviewer replied yes.
