Donald Trump<\/a> took things back to his \u201cApprentice\u201d days with an odd comment about his son, Donald Trump Jr.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Don Jr. was making an appearance at Turning Point USA\u2019s AmericaFest over the weekend, when he decided to call his father and put him on speakerphone. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHe may not be here today, but I wanted to make sure he had a chance to say hi,\u201d Don Jr. said<\/a> before shouting out \u201cMr. President.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Trump got on the call and told the audience, \u201cI wanna be with you, but I\u2019ll be with you soon.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cAnd I just wanna say that nobody did more for me than Charlie, and there\u2019s nobody better than Erika [Kirk], and you are the greatest people on Earth,\u201d he said, before thanking the crowd and taking a dig at his son. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI hope my son\u2019s doing a good job representing me \u2015 otherwise, I\u2019ll have to say \u2018You\u2019re fired, Don. You\u2019re fired,\u2019\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSo thank you very much and have a great day,\u201d the president added before taking one last shot at Don Jr. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI hope Don makes a great speech. If he doesn\u2019t make a great speech, let me know about it, I\u2019ll give him hell,\u201d he added, as the audience reacted with unease and scattered applause with the remarks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

One of the most bizarre remarks at the conference happened when rapper Nicki Minaj uttered exactly the wrong thing to say<\/a> during a sit-down with Erika Kirk. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cYoung men, you have amazing role models like our handsome dashing president,\u201d Minaj said. \u201cAnd you have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj, instantly realized what a mistake she\u2019d made, and covered her mouth with her hand. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Erika Kirk responded to Minaj\u2019s blunder with poise, telling her, \u201cTrust me, there is nothing new under the sun that I have not heard. So you\u2019re fine.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
