Nate Bargatze<\/a>\u2019s \u201cBig Dumb Eyes\u201d world tour isn\u2019t over yet \u2014 it currently extends through the middle of August<\/a> \u2014 but it has already made a defining mark in the comedy world, earning the top spot for highest-grossing comedy show this year, per Billboard<\/a>.<\/p>\n So far, over 76 shows into the tour, the comedian has sold more than 677,000 tickets. The year-end gross total comes in at $56.7 million \u2014 roughly $13 million more than Kevin Hart\u2019s \u201cActing My Age\u201d tour, which holds the No. 2 spot for 2025, Billboard<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n \u201cBig Dumb Eyes\u201d was especially popular in Utah, where it recently broke an attendance record at Salt Lake City\u2019s Delta Center.<\/p>\n Well aware of his popularity in Utah, Bargatze predicted a BYU football win<\/a> over Iowa State when he appeared as a celebrity guest picker on ESPN\u2019s \u201cCollege GameDay\u201d in late October.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a business decision right here,\u201d he said with a smile, per Deseret News<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve got four shows in Salt Lake City. BYU, baby!\u201d<\/p>\n A little over a month later, the Emmy-nominated comedian from Tennessee put on four sold-out shows at the Delta Center \u2014 a run that has now become the arena\u2019s highest-attended comedy act, drawing more than 56,500 fans, according to a news release<\/a> shared with the Deseret News. <\/p>\n The \u201cBig Dumb Eyes\u201d tour is now also the No. 2 most attended event in Delta Center history \u2014 second only to Garth Brooks<\/a> in 2015, per the news release<\/a>. <\/p>\n Bargatze previously did four shows at the Eccles Theater in 2022 and three shows at the Delta Center in 2023. The comedian spoke to the Deseret News<\/a> at that time about the popularity of clean comedy in Utah.<\/p>\n \u201cYou always heard (Jim) Gaffigan and (Brian) Regan could go there,\u201d he said in 2023<\/a>. \u201cYou heard, \u2018If you\u2019re clean, you do really great in Salt Lake City.\u2019 … I actually now have a lot of close friends that live in Salt Lake City. And I actually end up there a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s a busy season for Bargatze.<\/p>\n The comedian recently announced he\u2019s leaving his podcast to pursue movies, TV and even a theme park, as the Deseret News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n Moving more into TV hosting after helming the Emmy Awards this past September, Bargatze will host a new game show \u2014 which he also executive produces \u2014 called \u201cThe Greatest Average American\u201d that premieres in February. <\/p>\nNate Bargatze breaks record at the Delta Center<\/h3>\n
