Featuring high-profile guests like Darryl \u201cDMC\u201d McDaniels, Smokey Robinson and others, the 11-track record effortlessly traverses genre from blues to Hip-Hop to straightforward rock n\u2019 roll.<\/p>\n
The proceedings get underway with the sonically-pleasing \u201cLet The Guitar Play\u201d that weds expert longneck solos with and DMC\u2019s unflappable flow. To call the song a jam is an understatement.<\/p>\n
From there, highlights include the group\u2019s laid-back take on Michael Jackson\u2019s \u201cWhatever Happens\u201d that includes his vocals (yes, really), the chilled-out, sultry Smokey Robinson-fronted \u201cPlease Don\u2019t Take Your Love\u201d and dreamy standard \u201cGet On\u201d that has a bit of Miles Davis thrown in for good measure (once again, yes, really).<\/p>\n
