Even in Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly<\/i>, George Clooney portrays a movie star who confesses that years in front of the camera have left him feeling detached from reality.<\/p>\n
“My life doesn\u2019t really feel real,” he says. It\u2019s a line that could apply to many movie stars, especially one of Bollywood\u2019s leading ladies, Dixit, who has served four decades in Hindi cinema.<\/p>\n
However, Dixit has been clear about keeping her personal life separate from stardom, as she revealed to The Hollywood Reporter India, always staying true to herself.<\/p>\n
A key to this is staying grounded when she is home with her family and friends.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t carry the baggage of my popularity or my films,\u201d she admitted. \u201cWhen I walk into my house, all the fame stays outside. It\u2019s just me who walks in.\u201d<\/p>\n
She extends credit to her parents, especially her mother, who kept her grounded throughout her flourishing career.<\/p>\n
“So, I see myself like any other professional; you\u2019re a journalist, I\u2019m an actor, someone else is a director or a businessman. I\u2019ve never carried the baggage with me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
