Jinger Duggar<\/strong> <\/a>will be celebrating Christmas<\/a> with her family for the first time in nearly a decade.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have not been back to the Duggar house since we\u2019ve been married in nine years for Christmas,\u201d Duggar\u2019s husband, Jeremy Vuolo<\/strong>, began the Monday, December 22, episode<\/a> of their eponymous podcast. \u201cWe\u2019re going this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Duggar, 32, and Vuolo, 38, have been married since 2016, welcoming kids Felicity, Evangeline and Finn in 2018, 2020, and 2025, respectively. While Duggar grew up in Arkansas, she moved to California after getting married.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s exciting,\u201d the Counting On <\/i>alum said on Monday of celebrating the holiday in her home state. \u201cThe reason we haven\u2019t been back for Christmas Day is because that\u2019s the only time of year that [Jeremy\u2019s] family is all together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJinger Duggar recapped a \u201cwild\u201d visit to her family\u2019s home in Arkansas with husband Jeremy Vuolo and their kids. During the Wednesday, July 2, episode of their \u201cJinger & Jeremy\u201d podcast, the couple opened up about making the \u201clast-minute\u201d trip with daughters Felicity, 6, and Evangeline, 4, and son Finn, 3 months. \u201cIt is so [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jinger, one of Jim Bob<\/strong> and Michelle Duggar<\/strong>\u2019s 19 children<\/a>, and her husband have opted to spend the winter holiday with his side of the family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThroughout the years, we\u2019ve decided, \u2018Like, OK, that\u2019s going to be the time that we spend with the Vuolo family over Christmas,\u201d Jinger explained. \u201cMy family [is] always together a lot, and so it\u2019s easy for us to pop back. We [recently] went back three times in one year for weddings.\u201d<\/p>\n

After many years spending Christmas away from home, Jinger started feeling \u201cnostalgic\u201d for her childhood Christmas festivities. (As Jinger and Vuolo moved away from Arkansas, they also distanced themselves<\/span><\/a> from her parents\u2019 IBLP form of religion.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI want our girls to experience a Duggar family Christmas, and I miss it,\u201d Jinger said, detailing the chaos of the holiday season. \u201cWe\u2019ve done different kinds of things. Back when I [lived] at the Big House, there were some years where we\u2019d be, like, \u2018Everybody has to wait, we go down together and then it\u2019s a free-for-all and everyone just opens gifts.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo\u2018s love story may have been a whirlwind \u2014 but their connection is undeniably strong. The couple were introduced through Jinger\u2019s sister Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, who met the former soccer star in Texas before he visited the Duggar family in Arkansas. Jinger reflected on the early days [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She continued, \u201cSome other years, I remember us waiting and each person would open. They either start from the oldest and go down, or start from the youngest and go up.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Jinger, it could take \u201chours\u201d just to get to her turn.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you think about it, you have nieces and nephews also, so it can take forever,\u201d Jinger acknowledged of her family\u2019s large size. \u201cI don\u2019t know what they do know, [and] we\u2019re going to be excited to jump in and see.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year, the Duggars will do a gift exchange<\/a> at Jim Bob and Michelle\u2019s house on Christmas afternoon.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody\u2019s going to be having gifts for the person they bought a gift for. All the older girls are in a drawing, all the guys are in a drawing \u2014 in-laws, everything,\u201d she said. \u201cAll of the little nieces and nephews \u2026 have a drawing thing. [Everyone] is buying one gift, or a certain amount, for each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jinger will be shopping for her pregnant older sister, Jana Duggar<\/strong><\/a>, while Vuolo drew father-in-law Jim Bob\u2019s name.<\/p>\n

\u201cGet him a nice pair of white T-shirts or socks or a new package of underwear,\u201d Jinger advised her husband, who quipped that the latter idea would be better received from \u201cthe missus.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahead of the big family celebration, Jinger and Vuolo will spend the morning with sister Joy-Anna Duggar<\/strong>, her husband, Austin Forsyth<\/strong>, and their three children.<\/p>\n
