Before Jamie Campbell Bower<\/b> began portraying the murderous Vecna in \u201cStranger Things,\u201d he appeared in two iconic film franchises.<\/p>\n
Bower, 37, played Caius in several films from \u201cThe Twilight Saga.\u201d His character was a ruthless leader of a coven of vampires called the Volturi. Bower was just 21 when \u201cThe Twilight Saga: New Moon\u201d came out in 2009. <\/p>\n
One year later, the English actor took on another villainous part, playing a young version of the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in \u201cHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows \u2013 Part 1.\u201d He reprised the role in the 2018 film \u201cFantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.\u201d<\/p>\n
You could blink and miss Bower\u2019s appearance in \u201cThe Deathly Hallows,<\/a>\u201c which he joked about during a fan event<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n \u201cThe only time you see me is when I\u2019m stealing the Elder Wand and jumping out of the window. And I remember [director] David Yates coming up to me as we were filming that one scene \u2014 that one scene is my one day of work \u2014 and David goes, \u2018Do you think you want to stunt double?\u2019\u201d Bower said. \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018David, if you have a stunt double, I\u2019m not going to be in your film. So, no, I don\u2019t want a stunt double. I want to be in your film, G\u2013damnit.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n Bower was briefly engaged to \u201cHarry Potter\u201d star Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley. He was born Henry Creel, a boy with psychic and psychokinetic abilities. <\/p>\n During a February fan event in Orlando, Bower recalled telling his therapist that he wants a break from playing villains after \u201cStranger Things.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cI just don\u2019t think I\u2019ll be doing another bad guy for a minute. Like, it f\u2013s me up. I\u2019m dead serious,\u201d he said, per People<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s been amazing, and it\u2019s been an incredible journey to join the show from season 4, to be part of something that so many people love and something that I loved as well and still love. But I definitely am ready to hang up the foam latex and wish [Vecna] a slippery farewell.\u201d<\/p>\n The fifth and final season of \u201cStranger Things\u201d kicked off on Nov. 26.
