Channing Tatum<\/strong><\/a> is mourning the death of his former The Son of No One<\/i> costar James Ransone<\/strong><\/a> after his death at age 46.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere ain\u2019t words for these things, but you my friend \u2026 was one of the realest,\u201d Tatum, 45, wrote via his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, December 23. \u201cI remember being in every conversation with you and just always being, like, \u2018I wonder what he\u2019s gonna say!???\u2019 Lololol.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tatum concluded, \u201cI love you, PJ. I\u2019ll see you on the next one, my G.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tatum and Ransone played police officers in the 2011 crime drama, The Son of No One, <\/i>directed by Dito Montiel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is probably the nicest, most ego-less actor I have ever worked with for the size of his celebrity and how he handles himself on set with the crew,\u201d Ransone previously gushed of working with the Magic Mike <\/i>actor during a 2011 interview<\/a>. \u201cI mean, it\u2019s been the smoothest thing that I could imagine working on. He\u2019s really great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly <\/i>confirmed 14 years later that Ransone died by suicide<\/a> on Friday, December 19. He is survived by his wife, Jamie McPhee<\/strong>, and their two children.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told you I have loved you 1000 times before and I know I will love you again,\u201d McPhee wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, December 21, breaking her silence after Ransone\u2019s death. \u201cYou told me, \u2018I need to be more like you and you need to be more like me,\u2019 and you were so right. Thank you for giving me the greatest gifts \u2014 you, Jack and Violet. We are forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two days later, McPhee offered an update into how she was coping with the loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, I took our kids with my angel Kristen to the Glendale Mall. They wanted ice cream after the park,\u201d she wrote via Instagram on Tuesday<\/a>. \u201cViolet picked out a pink backpack. Jack made me buy and then build things at the Lego store. For the first time in my life, it was clear that people recognized me.\u201d<\/p>\n

McPhee continued, \u201cI told a friend later, and she said, \u2018It makes you realize you never really know what people are going through.\u2019 And that\u2019s true. Because in many moments we looked \u2026 happy. Normal. Laughing. Smiling. How? Not because we aren\u2019t grieving. We are, but because I have two beautiful, incredible children who force me *daily* to see all the love and all the light that still exists inside of this.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her social media message, McPhee also shared a letter to her late husband.<\/p>\n
