Australian<\/a> comedian Tanya Hennessy has given birth to a baby girl after a seven year struggle with infertility.<\/p>\n

Hennessy, who has had an extensive career in radio and online comedy, posted the news to her social media on Christmas Day with a picture of herself holding her baby girl, named Scottie Jack Poole.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur beautiful baby girl is finally here,\u201d Hennessy captioned the post.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in heaven, my heart is exploding. My baby is here. My baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s everything and more and I\u2019ve never been so blissfully happy in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a long journey for Hennessy and her husband Tom Poole, with the 40-year-old diagnosed with stage four endometriosis after trying to fall pregnant for \u201ctwo or three years\u201d.<\/p>\n

After multiple surgeries to remove the endometriosis and seven rounds of IVF, Hennessy announced she was pregnant in July.<\/p>\n

She then posted a video of a sonagram and wrote, \u201cAfter seven years of trying, we finally have our baby on the way\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never thought I would get to post pregnancy content,\u201d Hennessy captioned.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so thankful and grateful to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an interview with Body and Soul magazine, Hennessy expressed her joy at finally falling pregnant after spending a reported $120,000 on medical treatment to get there.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really happy that the chapter of infertility has hopefully closed for me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been really sad \u2013 really tragically sad \u2013 for seven years. I\u2019m ready for some joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celebrities rushed to congratulate the comedian on her post, which also includes a photo of her beaming husband Tom Poole holding his daughter for the first time.<\/p>\n

Hennessy announced she\u2019d share more details about little Scottie later, but indicated she\u2019d be taking time off social media to revel in her newborn bliss.<\/p>\n
