Hoda Kotb<\/strong><\/a> and ex Joel Schiffman<\/strong> coparented for Christmas.<\/p>\n

Kotb, 61, took to Instagram on Thursday, December 25, to share a family photo that included Schiffman, 67, and their two daughters, Haley, 8, and Hope, 6. Kotb\u2019s mother and sister were also featured in the selfie as the group posed in matching green plaid pajama pants and green Santa-themed T-shirts. The adults also sported mini light-up Santa hat headbands.<\/p>\n

\u201cMerry Christmas\ud83c\udf84\u2764\ufe0f,\u201d Kotb captioned the post.<\/p>\n

Kotb and Schiffman called off their engagement in 2022<\/a> after eight years together.<\/p>\n

Kotb, 60, shared photos on Wednesday, December 25, of her and Schiffman, 66, with their daughters, Haley, 7, and Hope, 5, in matching pajamas. \u201cJoel and I have had a lot of prayerful and meaningful conversations over the holidays and we decided that we are better as friends and parents than we are as an engaged couple, so we decided we are going to start this new year on our new path as loving parents to our adorably delightful children and as friends,\u201d the TV personality said on Today after fans noticed that she wasn\u2019t wearing her engagement ring, which the financier gave to her in 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not like something happened,\u201d Kotb continued. \u201cThey say sometimes relationships are meant to be there for a reason or a season or for a lifetime. And I feel like ours was meant to be there for a season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kotb further broke down their decision to split<\/a> in her book Jump and Find Joy: Embracing Change in Every Season of Life<\/em>, which was released in September.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur decision to part wasn\u2019t one that we took lightly, but we knew it was the right one,\u201d she wrote. \u201cIt came from a place of love, not anger, which makes a big difference.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kotb added, \u201cThere was no cheating, no scandal, no big crisis. It sounds clich\u00e9, but truth is, we were just growing apart. There wasn\u2019t the drama you hear about in all the great country songs. The no-good, two-timing, whiskey-loving heartbreakers. It simply wasn\u2019t us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kotb and Schiffman became parents in 2017 when they adopted Haley, followed by Hope two years later. After their split, the exes continued to amicably coparent their daughters, often celebrating holidays and the girls\u2019 birthdays together.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe sees the kids<\/a>,\u201d Kotb exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in April 2022. \u201cHe takes them to school some, and he sees them on weekends. We\u2019ve got a really nice, easy situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The I\u2019ve Loved You Since Forever<\/em> author continued, \u201cWe make sure that the kids get plenty of him and plenty of me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple met and started dating in 2013.\u00a0As their relationship progressed, the TV personality was often asked whether she wanted to walk down the aisle again. Kotb was previously married to Burzis Kanga from 2005 to 2008. After Kotb adopted daughter Haley in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Though she and her ex-fianc\u00e9 have maintained a positive relationship in the years since their split, Kotb admitted earlier this year that she has wondered what impact her life as a single mom<\/a> would have on her daughters.<\/p>\n
