Tyler Perry<\/strong><\/a> is facing a $77 million lawsuit after a second actor accused him of sexual assault.<\/a><\/p>\n

Mario Rodriguez,<\/strong> who had a minor role in Perry\u2019s film Boo! A Madea Halloween<\/em>, filed the lawsuit against the actor and Lionsgate films in California on Thursday, December 25, per People<\/em> <\/a>and Page Six<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

In the lawsuit Rodriguez reportedly alleged Perry sexually assaulted him and made unwanted advances while promising him future acting roles \u2013 claims that Perry\u2019s attorney Alex Spiro<\/strong> described as a \u201cmoney grab.\u201d<\/p>\n

Page Six<\/em> reported that Rodriguez claimed via the lawsuit that Perry \u201ctightly hugged\u201d him,\u00a0 \u201creached into Mr. Rodriguez\u2019s underwear\u201d and touched his genitals in a 2018 incident. The pair had reportedly gone to Perry\u2019s home after Perry invited Rodriguez to dinner at Mastro\u2019s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, California to chat about a potential role in his series, The Oval.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tActor Derek Dixon broke his silence after accusing Tyler Perry of sexual assault and harassment in a $260 million lawsuit last month. \u201cI couldn\u2019t just let him get away with this,\u201d Dixon told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, July 10, in his first interview since the accusations went public. \u201cEveryone deserves to go to work [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMr. Perry was making sexual moaning noises and saying, \u2018Stay here, stay here,\u2019 while he pressed his body against Mr. Rodriguez and continued to grab his penis,\u201d the court papers claimed, per Page Six.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

People<\/em> reported that during one of the alleged unwanted advances, Perry urged Rodriguez to \u201clet it happen\u201d and told him, \u201cIf you were to just be with me, I would take care of you\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to both outlets, Rodriguez also claimed via the lawsuit that following two incidents of unwanted sexual advances, Perry apologized and paid him $5,000.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez, who is seeking $77 million in damages, is being represented by attorney Jonathan J. Delshad.<\/strong> Delshad also represented actor Derek Dixon<\/strong>,<\/a> who previously made sexual assault allegations against Perry.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving recently failed in another matter against Mr. Perry, the very same lawyer has now made yet another demand from more than a decade ago which will also be a failed money grab,\u201d Perry\u2019s attorney Spiro told Us Weekly<\/em> in a statement on Friday, December 26.<\/p>\n

Posting to his Instagram<\/a> on December 13, Rodriguez spoke about an unnamed \u201cpowerful\u201d director \u201cthat everybody knows.\u201d He explained in the post that he felt \u201cscared and ashamed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI stayed quiet for much too long. And I just want to say I\u2019m really sorry, man. Because if I would\u2019ve spoken up sooner I could\u2019ve saved somebody that this probably happened to after me,\u201d he said in the video. \u201cI just wanna say sorry for that, whoever that may be. It could\u2019ve stopped with me if I would\u2019ve said something. \u2026 But I\u2019m speaking up now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Rodriguez\u2019s representatives for comment.<\/p>\n

In June, Perry faced a similar lawsuit when Dixon sued Perry and his production company over alleged sexual assault on the set of The Oval<\/em>. Dixon was seeking $260 million in damages from Perry and his production company.<\/p>\n
