Everyone who knows of George Clooney as an actor is quite aware that he is a romantic buff in movies.<\/p>\n

He is usually the guy who gets the girl. Usually, that entanglement involves a love scene, complete with a fevered kiss or two. <\/p>\n

But Clooney says that won\u2019t be the case moving forward. <\/p>\n

He made his stance clear in a recent interview with the Daily Mail<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The \u201cOceans Eleven\u201d star shared that after a conversation with his wife, Amal Clooney, concerning his age, \u201ckissing girls\u201d in movies is no longer an option for him. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been trying to go the route Paul Newman did – \u2018Okay, well, I\u2019m not kissing a girl anymore,\u2019\u201d Clooney said. \u201cWhen I turned 60, I had a conversation with my wife. I said, \u2018Look, I can still play basketball with the boys. I play with 25-year-old guys. I can still hang, I\u2019m in shape. But in 25 years, I\u2019m 85 years old. It doesn\u2019t matter how many granola bars you eat, that\u2019s a real number.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Making his mark as a standout as one of Hollywood\u2019s most popular romantic leads, some romance film credits Clooney has under his belt include \u201cOut of Sight\u201d with Jennifer Lopez, \u201cOne Fine Day\u201d with Michelle Pfeiffer, \u201cTicket to Paradise\u201d with Julia Roberts, and \u201cUp in the Air\u201d with Vera Farmiga. <\/p>\n

This seems to have been on the \u201cBatman\u201d star\u2019s mind for quite a while. <\/p>\n

So much so, that back in March, during an interview with 60 Minutes<\/a>, Clooney flirted with the idea of taking a total step back from \u201cromantic films,\u201d allowing Hollywood\u2019s new crop of leading men the room to roam and take charge. <\/p>\n

\u201cLook, I\u2019m 63 years old. I\u2019m not trying to compete with 25-year-old leading men,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s not my job. I\u2019m not doing romantic films anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
