Texas 31. Doors open at 8 p.m., and music begins at 8:30 p.m. The event will end at midnight.<\/p>\n<p>The event first took place in 2017. Event coordinator Daniell Kenney said it\u2019s meant to give people something to do on New Year\u2019s Eve.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEast Texas usually is pretty much dead on New Year\u2019s Eve, even in the church community,\u201d Kenney said. \u201cA lot of them have watch services, but we wanted to make the ultimate event that people can come and share \u2013 and don\u2019t have to be by themselves on New Year\u2019s Eve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Performers at this year\u2019s event include Byron Cage, a Grammy nominee, Stellar Award Winner and Soul Train Music Award winner; the Gospel Legends; the New Keynotes featuring Teddy Cross; the Texas Boyz; and Wendell Huckaby.<\/p>\n<p>Kenney said the show will have high-quality production, including stage lights and sound engineering. It\u2019ll be a \u201cgreat time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>People can still sign up to sponsor the event, Kenney said.
