Enjoy!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Richmonders continually turn out for local indie-folk favorites\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/richmondmagazine.com\/arts-entertainment\/richmond-events\/carbon-leaf-the-national-2025\/\">Carbon Leaf<\/a>. During their Music at Maymont show this past summer, the artists announced that their last performance of 2025 would be at The National on New Year\u2019s Eve, eliciting rousing applause from the crowd. Don\u2019t worry, tickets are still available for the Dec. 31 show ($48 to $65). The gig supports the band\u2019s 2024 album \u201cTime Is the Playground,\u201d and lead singer Barry Privett promises a party vibe to celebrate the transition into the new year.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2014Nicole Cohen,\u00a0Arts &amp; Entertainment Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Give 2026 a raucous welcome with a unique variety show at R\u00e9v\u00e9ler this Wednesday night, Dec. 31. Helmed by veteran RVA comedian and bandleader Micah \u201cBam-Bamm\u201d White,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.revelerexperiences.com\/event\/new-years-eve-sounds-funny\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Link opens in new window (&#x201C;New Year&#x2019;s Eve Sounds Funny&#x201D;)\">\u201cNew Year\u2019s Eve Sounds Funny\u201d<\/a>\u00a0is an electric combination of music and stand-up comedy featuring a talented lineup of performers. A vibrant mix of genres \u2014 including soul, hip-hop, R&amp;B, funk, and go-go \u2014 with a layer of humor all but guarantee a hilarious, memorable night. The 21-and-up event runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.; guests ages 16-20 are allowed if accompanied by an adult.
