Romy Reiner<\/strong> turned 28 amid the aftermath of her parents Rob Reiner<\/strong><\/a> and Michele Singer Reiner\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> murders.<\/p>\n

Romy\u2019s birthday fell on Saturday, December 27, nearly two weeks to the day since her parents were found dead.<\/p>\n

According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail<\/a>, Romy marked her birthday surrounded by family and loved ones, including boyfriend Alex Silberberg<\/strong>,\u00a0at a beach house in Malibu, California.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, The New York Times<\/em> reported that Romy discovered her father\u2019s body<\/a> in her parents\u2019 home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles on December 14. Romy went to check on them after they failed to open the house\u2019s gate for a massage therapist who arrived for a scheduled appointment.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tRob Reiner\u2019s family has always been synonymous with showbiz. The Princess Bride director and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles, home on Sunday, December 14. Rob leaves behind four children. Rob, who was 78, won two Emmy Awards for his role as Mike \u201cMeathead\u201d Stivic in the classic [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to the outlet, Romy\u2019s roommate called 911 after Romy found her dad\u2019s body. Romy reportedly did not see her mother\u2019s body in the house and only learned of Michele\u2019s death once paramedics arrived.<\/p>\n

Romy\u2019s brother Nick Reiner<\/strong> was arrested and ultimately charged with two counts of first-degree murder on December 16. He has yet to enter a plea<\/a> and is set to be arraigned on January 7.<\/p>\n

Despite previous claims, a source told The New York Times<\/em> that Romy informed the police that Nick, 32, \u201clived on the property also\u201d but \u201cdid not suggest to the authorities that her brother might be a suspect<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Romy and her eldest brother, Jake Reiner<\/strong>, released a statement<\/a> on December 17 after their sibling was accused of their parents\u2019 murders.<\/p>\n

TMZ reported at the time that the Los Angeles Fire Department had been called to the scene in the afternoon to administer \u201cmedical aid.\u201d It was later reported that a 78-year-old man and 70-year-old woman had been [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWords cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day. The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience,\u201d the statement read. \u201cThey weren\u2019t just our parents; they were our best friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jake, 34, and Romy added, \u201cWe are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life.\u201d<\/p>\n

As their brother faced criminal charges, Jake and Romy requested sensitivity from the public.<\/p>\n

They concluded: \u201cWe now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days later, a spokesperson for Jake and Romy said in a Monday, December 22, statement that the siblings \u201cremain grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received.\u201d They also plan to \u201cshare information about a memorial service<\/a> honoring their parents at a later date.\u201d<\/p>\n
