Speaking to the crowd<\/a>, Langley revealed that her new album will arrive next year and that she\u2019s \u201cnever been more excited to show a collection of songs to people,\u201d sharing that she\u2019s \u201cso proud of\u201d her new album and \u201cso excited\u201d for fans to hear it. The Alabama native then broke the news about Lambert executive producing her next album, sharing that the \u201cKerosene\u201d singer is \u201ca big part of this next record.\u201d<\/p>\nCalling Lambert \u201cone of my heroes,\u201d Langley gushed, \u201cY\u2019all can\u2019t act like all my dreams aren\u2019t coming true right now because it feels that way. It really does. It really does.\u201d She further revealed that she had a feeling Lambert might play a part in her career, saying, \u201cI don\u2019t know, I just had this weird feeling that one day I\u2019d get advice from her and Lord, it\u2019s crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Langley had previously teased Lambert\u2019s part in the album during a different show, telling the crowd, \u201cwe\u2019re definitely doing something really cool together that is more than just the songs.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fans have already heard some of Langley and Lambert\u2019s work, as the two co-wrote Langley\u2019s latest single, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d with Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor. Langley told fans at the Ryman that writing \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d \u201creally started\u201d Lambert\u2019s work on her new album.<\/p>\n
Sharing some insight into the writing process behind \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d during her Nashville show, Langley revealed that the group was at a writers\u2019 retreat and had already penned one song together. \u201cI think we were going to have a snack. But before we had a snack, I needed to ask her a question about something,\u201d she recalled. \u201c[Lambert] had some kangaroos at one time. And anything, one thing led to the other, and she said something about having Texas plates on her car. And for some reason I was like, \u2018Well, she\u2019s probably like she\u2019s from Texas, I can tell.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Most songwriter\u2019s brains don\u2019t,\u201d she said. \u201cJust from that little bit, I went, \u2018She\u2019s from Texas, I can tell by the way \/ he\u2019s two stepping \u2019round the room.\u2019 And Miranda went, \u2018Like that b\u2014 who didn\u2019t win.\u2019 I\u2019m like, that\u2019s exactly what the song is about.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group wrote \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas<\/a>\u201d in \u201cabout 45 minutes\u201d and it\u2019s now the first single from Langley\u2019s sophomore album. The track is already seeing success, recently becoming the fastest solo female song to reach the Top 10 at country radio this decade, just about two months after its October 17 release. <\/p>\n\n
