\u201cJustin and Katy will be spending New Year\u2019s together,\u201d an insider exclusively tells Us Weekly<\/em> of the duo. \u201cThey are very smitten and into each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source notes that Perry, 41, is \u201creally inspired\u201d by the former Canadian prime minister, 54, and is \u201cimpressed by his accomplishments,\u201d adding, \u201cHe\u2019s a great match for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry and Trudeau were first spotted together in July while the pop star was in Canada for her Lifetimes Tour<\/em>. Two months later, an insider told Us<\/em> that the pair were planning to be \u201cmore private\u201d<\/a> about their connection but were \u201cstill speaking\u201d and were \u201cvery interested in each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

In October, the twosome held hands in Paris following a date to celebrate Perry\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n
