PETA is condemning Kim Kardashian for giving each of her and Kanye West\u2019s children \u2014 North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 \u2014 their own puppy for Christmas. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n On Christmas, the reality star revealed in her Instagram Stories that she expanded her family by surprising her kiddos with four small Pomeranian puppies, multiple <\/a>outlets<\/a> reported. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cEach kid got a puppy,\u201d she wrote alongside a photo of the doggos. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n In a separate Dec. 25 Instagram Story, the \u201cAll\u2019s Fair\u201d star\u2019s older sister Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian shared that she also bought a black Labrador puppy for her kids True, 7, and Tatum, 3, for the holiday. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n On Sunday, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) founder Ingrid Newkirk called the Skims co-founder and \u201cKhlo\u00e9 In Wonder Land\u201d podcaster\u2019s furry presents to their little ones a \u201cdamn shame\u201d in a <\/span>statement. <\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cPuppies are not plushies, and it\u2019s a damn shame that Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and instead is being rightly slammed on social media for that,\u201d Newkirk said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cIgnoring the homeless animals crisis is inexcusably callous, and so we ask Kim and Khloe, who did the same thing, to call PETA or a local shelter the next time they want to bring an animal into their home,\u201d Newkirk continued. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The PETA founder also urged the sister duo to \u201ctry to make some amends now by sending their kids to volunteer at a local shelter or paying for a local shelter adopt-a-thon or at least one spay day to help stop the growing homeless puppy crisis.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Kardashian sisters have not publicly addressed PETA\u2019s statement. Reps for Kim and Khlo\u00e9 did not immediately respond to celebrity.land\u2019s requests for comment. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The \u201cAmerican Horror Story\u201d actor\u2019s new pets join her family\u2019s <\/span>multiple other Pomeranians<\/span><\/a> that they\u2019ve owned since 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
