{"id":2216449,"date":"2025-12-30T10:26:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T10:26:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2216449"},"modified":"2025-12-30T10:26:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T10:26:14","slug":"first-friday-art-walk-set-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/first-friday-art-walk-set-this-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"First Friday Art Walk set this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>SEQUIM \u2014 The First Friday Art Walk will celebrate with a silver-themed event from 5 p.m. to<br \/>\n8 p.m. at various venues in downtown Sequim.\n<\/p>\n<p>Maps for the self-guided tour are available at www.<br \/>\nsequimartwalk.com.\n<\/p>\n<p>Special events in January include:\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The 10th Whodunit Downtown will present \u201cThe Case of the Back in the Day in the Y2K Glitchy Computer Fraud.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>The annual mystery game allows visitors to engage with suspects and collect clues<br \/>\nfrom downtown venues to solve the crime.<\/p>\n<p>The story, set just before the turn of the millennium, involves a computer fraud amid the panic surrounding the Y2K bug and the looming shutdown of computer networks worldwide.\n<\/p>\n<p>Players can pick up a game card at participating venues starting at 5 p.m. then mingle with the suspects to solve the crime.<\/p>\n<p>Completed game cards should be turned in at Whodunit Headquarters in Three Little Birds Studio d\u2019Arte, 112 W. Washington St., before the prize drawing at 7:30 p.m.\n<\/p>\n<p>The winner must be 21 or older but does not need to be present at the drawing to win.<\/p>\n<p>Cards will be drawn randomly until the correct answer is found.\n<\/p>\n<p>Participants are encouraged to dress in 2000s-era attire.\n<\/p>\n<p>Other events this weekend include:\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Blue Whole Gallery, 129 W. Washington St., will host a reception for \u201cBest of the Artists of Blue Whole Gallery\u201d from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.\n<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit, which will be in the gallery\u2019s windows throughout January, has been curated by pottery artist and gallery president Janet Piccola.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Best of Show gives each artist an opportunity to present what they like most about their work,\u201d Piccola said. \u201cMy job as curator is to find a way to showcase each piece, presenting that piece in its best light.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Attendees will have an opportunity to meet many of the artists during the reception.\n<\/p>\n<p>The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.\n<\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bluewholegallery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.bluewholegallery.com<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The A. Milligan Gallery, 520 N. Washington St., will have unique art, including glass, pottery, illustration and local artists\u2019 photography.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 La Petite Maison Blanche, 213 E. Washington St., will feature uniquely curated gifts and festive treats throughout the shop.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Western Wanderer, 108 W. Washington St., will host live music, decorative storytelling apparel and creative conversations.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Over the Fence, 118 E. Washington St., will showcase local makers.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Rainshadow Caf\u00e9, 157 W. Cedar St., will host live music with Dawn and Steve from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Sofie\u2019s Flowers, 127 W.
