Kim Petras<\/a> has offered to send Zohran Mamdani her new album if he fulfils one request for her.<\/p>\n On November 4, Mamdani emerged victorious as NYC\u2019s new mayor over opponents Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, winning with over 50 per cent of the vote. He will take over from Democrat Eric Adams, who has served as the mayor since 2022.<\/p>\n Ahead of him taking office on New Year\u2019s Day, Mamdani spoke to Interview Magazine<\/em><\/a>, where he revealed the songs that get him \u201chyped\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI have a few songs,\u201d he told the publication. \u201cMy wife prefers calmer music in the morning. I, for some reason, want to listen to Kim Petras or Lil Wayne<\/a> or Madonna<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAt eight in the morning, it doesn\u2019t make much sense,\u201d he said, adding that her recent single \u2018I Like Your Look\u2019 is a \u201cgreat song\u201d.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not the first time Mamdani has shared his love for Petras\u2019 music. Lorde also weighed in following her endorsement of Mamdani<\/a>\u00a0in June, posting a story with the words \u2018CHANGE NEW YORK\u2019 and tagging the soon-to-be mayor.<\/p>\n In the comment sections of Mamdani\u2019s posts announcing his win, other entertainment figures chimed in with their support.\u00a0Clairo<\/a>\u00a0posted a fire emoji, while actor\u00a0Mark Ruffalo<\/a>\u00a0wrote: \u201cCongratulation [sic], Mayor Mamdani!\u201d.\u00a0Rachel Zegler<\/a>\u00a0went on to write \u201che\u2019s home!\u201d, while\u00a0Fifth Harmony<\/a>\u00a0member Lauren Jauregui posted: \u201cThank God!! Yayyyy!\u201d<\/p>\n Mamdani has previously interacted with popstars,\u00a0making a suprise appearance at PinkPantheress\u2019 NYC show<\/a>\u00a0just days before the election. The British singer unveiled Mamdani\u2019s appearance by showing a pair of hands on the venue\u2019s screen, with \u201cOur Time Has Come\u201d and \u201cVote Nov. 4\u201d written on the two palms.<\/p>\n As the camera pulled back, Mamdani was revealed as her special guest, with the crowd greeting him with loud cheers.<\/p>\n\n
