Legendary singer Johnny Mathis quietly wrapped up his iconic career earlier this year with a show at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey. <\/p>\n

He performed an hour-long set on May 18 that included such hits as \u201cChances Are,\u201d \u201cWonderful! Wonderful!\u201d and \u201cMoon River.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among those in attendance was \u201cToday\u201d weatherman Al Roker.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was amazing,\u201d Roker wrote about Mathis\u2019 final show on Instagram. \u201cI grew up listening as my Mom and Dad played his music in the Hi-Fi!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Mathis announced in March that he was wrapping up his career. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs many of you may already be aware, Johnny Mathis is approaching his 90th birthday this year,\u201d a post on his Facebook page read. \u201cSo, it\u2019s with sincere regret that due to Mr. Mathis\u2019 age and memory issues which have accelerated, we are announcing his retirement from touring & live concerts.<\/p>\n

\u201cJohnny Mathis & his entire staff send their heartfelt gratitude to all Mathis Fans worldwide for your continued love & support of his music!\u201d the post closed by saying. \u201cIt\u2019s truly been \u2018Wonderful, Wonderful.\u2018\u201d<\/p>\n

Mathis wrapped up his run with an estimated net worth of $200 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth.com. <\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

The site noted that Mathis was able to amass his wealth by selling more than 350 million albums as well as his long touring career.<\/p>\n

Robert Scott, a representative for Mathis, told USA Today in March that the singer\u2019s memory issues do not impact his \u201cday-to-day life too much,\u201d but said the travel schedule can take a toll.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis voice is still wonderful, and it\u2019s a shame that he won\u2019t be able to share that with his audiences after May 18,\u201d Scott said. \u201cHe knows deep down that it\u2019s time to call it a day.
