The sci-fi spy thriller series \u201cThe Copenhagen Test\u201d hit Peacock on Saturday, Dec. 27, and fans are wondering if there\u2019s another chapter ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Copenhagen Test\u201d has not yet been renewed for season 2<\/b>, but that doesn\u2019t mean another installment isn\u2019t possible. <\/p>\n

During a November interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, series creator Thomas Brandon teased that although the season 1 finale of \u201cThe Copenhagen Test\u201d provides \u201cemotional closure,\u201d it \u201calso opens a much bigger question.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what would lead us into season 2,\u201d Brandon said, hinting at the show\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Simu Liu, who stars as intelligence agent Alexander Hale, also expressed interest is continuing with the project. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe built this incredible world,\u201d Liu told EW. \u201cAlexander\u2019s been a gift. He\u2019s an important character: a Chinese American spy fighting for his country, making his parents proud, making his country proud. I\u2019d love to keep exploring that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexander works for a secret government organization called The Orphanage. He must prove his loyalty to the organization after an enemy entity hacks into his brain using nanite technology. <\/p>\n

Rather than removing the entity from Alexander\u2019s brain, The Orphanage decides to use it to their advantage to identify the hacker. <\/p>\n

\u201cFrom this moment forward, your life is mine,\u201d Alexander\u2019s boss, John Moira (Brian d\u2019Arcy James), tells him at one point. <\/p>\n

Alexander\u2019s life is further complicated by a bartender named Michelle (Melissa Barrera), an Orphanage operative hired to get close to him. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like \u2018Love Island\u2019,\u201d Liu told EW of Alexander and Michelle\u2019s dynamic. \u201cThey know people are watching, they\u2019re performing, but maybe there\u2019s something genuine underneath. That duality is what makes it interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Liu, Barrera and d\u2019Arcy James, season 1 of \u201cThe Copenhagen Test\u201d stars Sinclair Daniel (Parker), Mark O\u2019Brien (Cobb), Kathleen Chalfant (St. George), Sara Amini (Ellie), Saul Rubinek (Victor Simonek) and Hannah Cruz (Rachel Kasperian).<\/p>\n
